Digital Accessibility

Website & digital accessibility compliance

Our manual website accessibility inspections are performed by real accessibility specialists, including testers who navigate the web every day with screen readers and other assistive technology. We evaluate every page against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 Level AA and deliver a defensible report that your developers and attorneys can act on.

Website accessibility audits & WCAG compliance

Screen reader testing with JAWS and VoiceOver, keyboard-only navigation, color contrast analysis, and browser zoom and reflow checks, with automated scanning as a secondary quality layer. Automation alone catches only about a third of real barriers; our human-led ADA website audits catch the rest.

Document, PDF & mobile app accessibility

We tag and remediate PDFs, forms, and documents for full assistive-technology compatibility, and test native and mobile web applications, so every digital touchpoint, not just your homepage, meets accessibility standards.

Physical Accessibility

CASp inspections & built-environment ADA surveys

Accessibility extends well beyond the website. Through our established network of Certified Access Specialists (CASp), we deliver built-environment ADA inspections of your physical locations, so a complaint about one — a building or a website — doesn’t catch you unprepared on the other.

Certified Access Specialist (CASp) inspections

Our CASp partners assess physical access against ADA and state building requirements, documenting barriers at entrances, paths of travel, parking, restrooms, signage, and public accommodations, with clear, prioritized remediation guidance.

ADA transition planning

For government entities and larger organizations, we support ADA transition plans that sequence physical remediation over time, complementing the digital work required under the DOJ’s Title II rule, so your buildings and your websites move toward compliance together.

Why Accessibilities

Not a plugin. Not a bot. A complete ADA compliance partner

Automated overlays and accessibility plugins catch only a fraction of real barriers, and they do nothing for your physical location. We are a human-led accessibility firm covering the full scope of ADA compliance, digital and physical — manual website inspections in-house, plus Certified Access Specialist (CASp) surveys through our certified partner network, policy development, and managed grievance response, all managed as one service.

Industries we serve

Built for organizations with digital and physical footprints

Where accessibility risk concentrates, online and on-site.

Restaurants & Hospitality

Restaurant groups and hotels face ADA risk on two fronts: inaccessible online ordering and menu PDFs, and physical barriers at entrances, restrooms, and parking. We inspect both, so one demand letter doesn't expose the rest of your locations.

Restaurant accessibility →

Small Business & Retail

For storefronts and e-commerce, we pair website accessibility audits with built-environment surveys, helping small businesses meet ADA and WCAG requirements without an in-house compliance team.

Retail accessibility →

Government & Large Organizations

State and local governments face a hard ADA Title II deadline for WCAG 2.1 AA. We deliver manual website audits and document remediation, and coordinate physical facility surveys through our certified partner network, with the documentation public entities need.

Government accessibility →

Law Firms & Compliance Teams

Defense and plaintiff counsel rely on our unbiased, third-party accessibility inspections and court-ready documentation, including VPATs and demand-letter response, that holds up under scrutiny.

Legal & compliance →

Healthcare Organizations

Multi-site medical groups and practices must keep both patient-facing websites and physical facilities accessible. We manage WCAG compliance and document remediation, and coordinate CASp inspections through our certified partner network, across the portfolio.

Healthcare accessibility →

Property & Real Estate

Property managers and real-estate firms use CASp inspections coordinated through our certified partner network, along with ADA transition planning, to assess built-environment compliance across multiple buildings and portfolios.

Frequently asked

Common questions, answered

What is ADA website compliance?

ADA website compliance means that a website is accessible to people with disabilities, conforming to the standards courts and the Department of Justice have applied under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In practice that almost always means meeting WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 at Level AA, the technical standard adopted by U.S. courts and federal guidance. A compliant website works with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, color-contrast requirements, zoom and reflow, and accessible forms and documents.

Do automated accessibility scans meet ADA requirements?

No. Automated scans catch only about 30% of real accessibility barriers. They miss the issues that drive most lawsuits, things a real user with a disability would encounter, like inaccessible interactive components, ambiguous link text, broken focus order, and PDFs that screen readers can’t read. Manual testing by trained accessibility specialists is required for genuine compliance and defensible documentation.

Is an accessibility overlay or plugin enough?

No. Accessibility overlays and widgets do not bring a site into ADA compliance, and they have been the subject of their own wave of lawsuits. They cannot fix underlying code issues, can’t confirm that a screen reader user can complete a transaction, and don’t produce the documentation courts look for. They are not a substitute for an audit and remediation.

Does my business need a CASp inspection?

If your business operates a physical location in California, a CASp (Certified Access Specialist) inspection is the single strongest legal protection available. A current CASp report makes you a Qualified Defendant under California’s CRASCA statute, with reduced minimum statutory damages and a 90-day stay to correct violations if a claim is filed. Outside California, a built-environment ADA survey serves a similar protective purpose under federal law.

How is Accessibilities different from other accessibility firms?

We are human-led, not overlay or scan-based. Our team includes testers who use assistive technology every day. We cover both digital and physical accessibility as one managed service — digital in-house and physical through our certified partner network — support hundreds of ADA lawsuits from the defense side, and produce documentation that demonstrates good-faith effort. We work with over 40 government entities and serve as the digital accessibility partner to leading ADA consultancies.

Does the ADA apply to my industry?

Yes. The ADA does not distinguish by industry. Every place of public accommodation, regardless of sector, must meet accessibility obligations. The barriers we find on a biotech site are the same kinds we find on a restaurant’s site. A disabled plaintiff doesn’t care what business you’re in, only whether they can access your site or your location.

See your accessibility risk across the whole picture

Add your business address or website and we'll get back to you with a no-obligation read on your ADA risk, then talk through a real inspection of your location and your site.
