Does accessibility law apply to healthcare websites and online services?

Yes. Healthcare organizations are places of public accommodation under ADA Title III, and many are also subject to Section 508 and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act. Public websites, online scheduling, registration, bill pay, and documents are all expected to be accessible to people with disabilities.

Why is an automated scan not enough for a healthcare website?

Automated tools catch only a portion of real barriers and frequently miss issues in dynamic, logged-in experiences like online scheduling and account areas. Manual testing with screen readers and keyboard navigation is the only reliable way to confirm a patient can actually complete tasks such as registering, booking, and accessing records.

Yes. We tag and remediate intake forms, patient documents, and public PDFs for full compatibility with assistive technology like JAWS and NVDA, meeting Section 508 and ADA standards.

Do you inspect physical facilities too, or only digital properties?

Both. Alongside digital inspections, we coordinate on-site built-environment ADA surveys and, in California, CASp inspections of your facilities through our certified inspector network. This covers parking, entrances, waiting areas, exam rooms, signage, and restrooms.

We already have a web team. Can you still help?

Yes. We work alongside in-house and external teams, identifying and documenting barriers in clear, developer-ready language so your team knows exactly what to fix. We do not replace your developers; we provide the independent inspection and guidance.

What is the typical timeline for a healthcare engagement?

Timelines depend on the size of your digital footprint and facilities. Most engagements fall within a 30 to 60 business-day range from inspection through initial remediation, with phased options for larger health systems. We scope and confirm timing before any work begins.
