Manual website accessibility
Why human-led inspections find what automated tools miss
See how our team tests websites the way real users do, with screen readers, keyboard navigation, and assistive technology, to catch the barriers automated scans and overlays leave behind.
What we cover
Every digital touchpoint, tested by real people
Accessibility isn’t just your homepage. We inspect and remediate everything your users actually interact with online.
Website inspections
Manual WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA audits of every page, mapped to criteria with clear, developer-ready fixes.
Accessibility Inspections →PDF & document accessibility
We tag and remediate PDFs, forms, and documents for full compatibility with JAWS, NVDA, and other assistive tech, meeting Section 508 and ADA standards.
Accessible Documents →Mobile & app testing
Native and mobile web applications tested for real-world usability with assistive technology, not just desktop browsers.
Mobile Accessibility →Remediation
End-to-end repair of the barriers we find, from contrast and ARIA to structure, by our team or alongside your developers.
Digital Remediation →How our website inspection process works
A clear, four-step path from first look to documented compliance, with a real person at every stage.
1 · Discovery
We scope your site, its size, purpose, and audience, to plan an accurate, unbiased inspection.
2 · Manual inspection
Every page tested by hand for navigation, forms, media, and interactive components against WCAG.
3 · Detailed report
A plain-language report: every issue, its WCAG reference, impact level, and how to fix it.
4 · Support & re-test
We stay available through remediation and verify your fixes meet compliance.
What’s included in every website inspection
Our manual inspections are roughly twice as accurate as leading automated tools, because real people test the way real users browse.
A plugin or overlay is not compliance
Most accessibility issues are only found through hands-on manual testing. A second-opinion inspection confirms what's actually working, and what still needs attention, with documentation that demonstrates good-faith effort.
Why Accessibilities
Not a plugin. Not a bot. Real people testing your site.
Automated overlays and accessibility plugins catch only a fraction of real barriers. We are a human-led accessibility firm: real specialists, including testers who use screen readers and assistive technology every day, manually inspecting and remediating your website, documents, and apps to WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA.

Industries we serve
Digital accessibility for every kind of organization
Where digital accessibility risk concentrates online.
Restaurants & Hospitality
Restaurant groups and hotels face ADA risk on two fronts: inaccessible online ordering and menu PDFs, and physical barriers at entrances, restrooms, and parking. We inspect both, so one demand letter doesn't expose the rest of your locations.
Restaurant accessibility →Small Business & Retail
For storefronts and e-commerce, we pair website accessibility audits with built-environment surveys, helping small businesses meet ADA and WCAG requirements without an in-house compliance team.
Retail accessibility →Government & Large Organizations
State and local governments face a hard ADA Title II deadline for WCAG 2.1 AA. We deliver manual website audits, document remediation, and physical facility surveys, with the documentation public entities need.
Government accessibility →Law Firms & Compliance Teams
Defense and plaintiff counsel rely on our unbiased, third-party accessibility inspections and court-ready documentation, including VPATs and demand-letter response, that holds up under scrutiny.
Legal & compliance →Healthcare Organizations
Multi-site medical groups and practices must keep both patient-facing websites and physical facilities accessible. We manage WCAG compliance, document remediation, and CASp inspections across the portfolio.
Healthcare accessibility →Property & Real Estate
Property managers and real-estate firms use our Certified Access Specialist (CASp) inspections and ADA transition planning to assess built-environment compliance across multiple buildings and portfolios.
Property & CASp →Community involvement

Frequently asked
Common questions, answered
What is a manual website accessibility audit?
A manual website accessibility audit is a hand-conducted evaluation of a website against WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) success criteria, performed by trained accessibility specialists, including testers who use assistive technology every day. It covers screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, color contrast, zoom and reflow, form labeling, focus order, and the interactive components that automated scans cannot evaluate. The deliverable is a report with every barrier identified, mapped to WCAG criteria, prioritized, and accompanied by developer-ready remediation guidance.
How accurate are automated accessibility scans?
Automated scans typically detect 25 to 30 percent of real accessibility barriers. They are useful for catching certain obvious technical issues, missing alt text, missing form labels, structural HTML problems, but cannot evaluate whether a real user can actually complete a task. Most of the barriers that drive accessibility lawsuits, broken interactive components, inaccessible custom widgets, untagged PDFs, ambiguous link text, are invisible to scans. Manual testing is required to find them.
Are accessibility overlays or plugins ADA compliant?
No. Overlays do not bring a site into ADA compliance and have themselves been the subject of accessibility lawsuits. They cannot remediate underlying code, cannot confirm assistive-technology compatibility, and do not produce the documentation courts look for in a defense. Federal and state guidance, and the consensus of the disability community, is that overlays are not a substitute for an audit and remediation.
What WCAG version should my site meet?
WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the current de facto standard adopted by U.S. courts, the Department of Justice, and most federal procurement guidance. WCAG 2.2 (published 2023) adds nine additional criteria and is increasingly being adopted in new federal and state requirements. Our audits evaluate against 2.1 AA by default and can include 2.2 AA on request. For Section 508 federal contracts, the technical standard is WCAG 2.0 AA, harmonized with 2.1.
Do PDFs need to be accessible?
Yes, if they are public-facing or used for an essential function. Inaccessible PDFs are a frequent target of accessibility lawsuits, particularly for forms, menus, reports, and registration documents. Accessible PDFs are tagged, navigable with a screen reader, contain readable text rather than scanned images, and meet the same Section 508 and ADA expectations as the rest of your site. We remediate PDFs to meet PDF/UA and Section 508 requirements.
Can you remediate the issues you find, not just identify them?
Yes. Our service includes full digital remediation, fixing the barriers we identify, working with your developers, and delivering a re-tested, documented compliant site. Remediation pricing depends on the number and severity of barriers and the complexity of your CMS. We can also work alongside an internal development team if you prefer to handle fixes in-house.
